and, with that, a 70 square meters squatted keep in downtown bologna becomes a worldwide landmark for DIY PUNK HARDCORE. Featuring more than 500 photos, flyers and articles written by those who were there and those who played there, this book documents 14 years of Atlantide’s existence. Squatted in 1997 and self-managed by the lesbo-feminist collective CLITORISTRIX, the ANTAGONISMOGAY group/SMASCHIERAMENTI LABORATORY and the NULLAOSTA collective, Atlantide was an indispensable venue for all the gay, lesbian, transgender, feminist and queer people in Bologna, as well as a landmark for the hardcore punk scene. It was located inside the keep of Santo Stefano city gate, in the middle of one of Bologna’s busiest ring-road boulevard junctions and at the entrance to the city center. Atlantide was evicted on 9 October 2015. This book documents the 14 of life.
